We have a great meeting on the 16th at AMB. we will have representatives from three different ASU Sustainability projects including the Renewable Energy Initiative, the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014, and the Plemmons Student Union to tell us about the creative and green projects they are implementing. This is your chance to become involved in Boone Green Drinks, an organization that celebrates its 5th year of social networking in the High Country. We have a great schedule on tap for the summer and will be meeting the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Appalachian Mountain Brewery for the foreseeable future. Since we opened almost five months ago, we have always been intently focused on the quality of our beer. This obsession has already paid off: AMB took two gold medals at the U.S. Beer Open in Atlanta, Georgia. This year 2500 different beers competed in categories from English Summer Ale to Root Beer to Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. AMB took the gold in the Golden or Blonde Ale category with the Honey Badger and in the German Alt category for the Crooked Common.
Congratulations to all of the other winners at the Open. The craft brew revolution is rolling along, and everyone at AMB is excited for how this early recognition will help us to grow and continue to give back to our community.
